As the music industry has grown and become increasingly more focused on immediate profits it has become much easier for great artists to go unheard; failing without ever being given the chance to succeed, without ever receiving any true "artist development".

Not every worthy artist will be a "hit" in their first few months out, but the sad fact is that's all the chance that many will be given. Fifth Column began as a response to this, and to empower artists with their own, dedicated marketing company that can support label-directed marketing while it exists, and step in when it falters.
